
Michael Rout (NCDIR director, Rockefeller University) was the winner of the 2021 Emerging Leader Award. This award is sponsored by Bay Area Lyme Foundation to promising scientists who have identified a defined approach to improved diagnostics or therapeutics for Lyme disease. Professor Rout is investigating nanobodies, a class of small antibody-like molecules, for potential use in a rapid, sensitive, direct detection diagnostic, and with potential future applications in treatment.

Brian Chait (Co-investigator, NCDIR at Rockefeller University) was awarded the 2021 US HUPO Catherine E. Costello Lifetime Achievement in Proteomics Award. The Lifetime Achievement in Proteomics Award recognizes a career of discovery that has made a lasting impact on the field of proteomics.
